Time Capsule
A time capsule is a historic cache of goods or information to be retrieved in the future after a certain (and sometimes indefinite) period of time. The “Time Capsule” series is an appreciation of the similarity between natural and Euclidean geometries as well as organic and mechanic units. The series is, in fact, a symbolic as well as a symbiotic dialog between the progressive and the primitive, seeking to find a link between the two extremes. I have intentionally shrouded “Time Capsule” in mystery, awe, and ambiguity. It represents a pendulum-like movement between primitive creatures, birds, insects, on the one hand, and complicated industrial engines such as turbines and the like, on the other. It is also an exploration of one’s relation with the world and a representation of the tension between infinity, finitude, as well as knowledge and oblivion.
